What is an adi?

Since 30th April 2009, driving instruction in Ireland has been a regulated industry. The regulations cover standard of instruction, examinations to be passed as well as penalties for breaches of the law.

To become registered and get an ADI full permit, each instructor is assessed by the RSA to ensure they have the necessary:

  • Knowledge of rules of the road and road safety
  • Driving ability
  • Ability to teach a learner driver

For your protection, ADIs also undergo Garda vetting.
What this means for you, as a learner driver, is better, more consistent standards and therefore better instruction.

The Role of our Driving Instructors

Only RSA approved driving instructors can deliver (EDT) essential driver training to students. Our instructors have over 10 years teaching, so when it comes to delevering the course you require you're in the best possible hands.

Our role is to take a learner driver and bringing them up to test standard. That requires patience, skill and expert knowledge of the Rules of the Road. But what we get inreward is when our former students tells you that they’ve got their test First Time!

Being able to assess a student’s progress during a lesson, and from one lesson to the next requires huge experience from an instructor, it is essential if they are to make rapid progress towards becoming a proficient driver.

It is also important that the learner driver is thoroughly prepared for the test. Our students know when that is because they fully understand whats required of them from the word go.
